CKT were proud to sponsor and participate in an engaging panel discussion at the “Wellbeing in the Legal Profession” event that took place on Tuesday 20th February in University College Cork.
Organised by The UCC Law Society and UCC School of Law there was a great audience of aspiring and really interested students in attendance. The diverse panel of speakers from The Bar, Solicitors and Academia spoke from the heart about how lawyers today deal with the stresses and hard work involved in the profession, and the steps being taken to support our lawyers, present and future.
The discussion centred on the personal side of the legal professional emphasising the importance of collegiality and everyday acts of kindness in fostering workplace wellbeing. It was inspiring to see the diverse perspectives converge on these two crucial aspects.
Thank you to Melanie Power, HR and Office Manager, CKT for eloquently representing CKT along with fellow panellist John Colthurst BL from The Bar Member Services for sharing invaluable insights. Special gratitude to Dr Samantha Morgan Williams, Lecturer UCC School of Law for chairing the discussion so effectively.
To all the students who took the time to attend and contribute, thank you. The future of the legal profession is bright as we together help shape a healthier and more supportive community.
