Breast Cancer Awareness Month
During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to show our support for the many people affected by this complex disease. Through a series of planned activities, we helped raised awareness and funds for this cancer, its prevention, and possible treatments.
First up, Team CKT were so happy to join hundreds of other runners and walkers in the first Very Pink Run at MTU Cork in support of Breast Cancer Ireland.
We were also delighted to welcome Juliette O’Connell, Outreach Coordinator with Breast Cancer Ireland who came to our Cork office and delivered a deeply valuable talk to a packed audience.
Through telling us her story as a survivor of breast cancer and sharing practical ways for self-checks, she raised our awareness and educated us on breast cancer in a big way. HUGE thanks Juliette!
Finally, on the 25thOctober we marked ‘Pink Wednesday’ in our Cork and Dublin offices with lots of tasty pink treats as we continued fundraising in support of breast cancer patients and their families across Ireland.
Our CSR committee would like to thank everyone who supported us this month in our fundraising activities for Breast Cancer Ireland.
Our fundraising page remains open until the end of the month if you would like to support, please click here
Every cent makes a difference and 100% of funds raised go directly to Breast Cancer Ireland.
