On Friday 19th January 2024 Denise Kirwan, Partner, Child and Family Law department at CKT was delighted to spend a really productive and engaging day with the team at Childhood Matters in Cork.
During the course of the day Denise examined the law as it relates to the Child care act 1991 and associated legislation. Denise spoke about the often intimidating task of giving expert evidence in Court, the Court processes and the session finished with a mock direct and cross examination which was acted out as real-life court session. CKT were delighted to provide this specialist training as part of our pro bono programme for 2024 and are planning a return visit later this year to continue the learning.
