On Thursday 9 November 2023, Comyn Kelleher Tobin LLP (CKT) hosted and co-sponsored the Irish Commercial Mediation Association (ICMA) regional seminar, ‘Effective Mediation – A Practical Perspective’, in the Clayton Hotel, Cork.

Attendees heard practical insights from some of the most experienced mediators and lawyers operating in the dispute resolution space.

Mary Lou Kennedy, Mediator and Conflict Management Specialist, OAK Dynamics Ltd provided an insight on the practical skills and tools for managing relationships in conflict followed by Susan Moriarty, Head of Mass Action, State Claims Agency who spoke on the rise of the use of mediation in clinical negligence actions. Eamon Harrington, Accredited Mediator and Partner in CKT concluded the seminar with his thoughts on the keys to making a mediation succeed.
